Rolls

1 Cup warm water
1 tbs. yeast
2 tbs. sugar
2 tbs. powder milk
4 tbs. butter, melted
1 egg
1 tsp. salt
21/2-3 c. flour

Place egg in very warm water and let sit until you need it.   In mixer place warm water, yeast, sugar, and powder milk, then mix just briefly.  You just want to make sure the yeast in mixed in with the water and sugar.  Let rest five minutes.  Add in egg, salt, oil and the 2 ½ cup flour, and then mix. Add a little flour at a time until the dough come clean from the bowl of the mixer.  Mix for five minutes.
The dough needs to rest 15 minutes.  What I like to do is spray a section of my counter with cooking spray, turn out my dough on that spot, spray my kitchen aide bowl with cooking spray and place it over the dough.

Roll dough out, I usually just spray my counter with cooking spray and roll out my dough.  Roll the dough into a circle that is ¼ inch thick.  Cut into 12 equal sections. Form rolls by rolling starting at the wide and place the tip down on the cookie sheet.

Place on a greased cookie sheet, parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Let rise for at least 30 minutes or until doubled.

Bake at 375 8-12 minutes. or till browned.

Food for Thought: We will all face fear, experience ridicule, and meet opposition. Let us—all of us—have the courage to defy the consensus, the courage to stand for principle. Courage, not compromise, brings the smile of God’s approval. Courage becomes a living and an attractive virtue when it is regarded not only as a willingness to die manfully but also as the determination to live decently. As we move forward, striving to live as we should, we will surely receive help from the Lord and can find comfort in His words. I love His promise recorded in the book of Joshua:

“I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. …

“… Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”  Pres. Monson, Be Strong and of a Good Courage
