Caramel Syrup

The sisters Cafe has this amazing waffle recipe it called Waffles of Insane Greatness

1 c. buttermilk

1 1/2 c. sugar

2 stick real butter

2 Tbsp. corn syrup

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. vanilla

Instructions:

Combine buttermilk, sugar, butter, corn syrup, and baking soda in a large pot. This will double in size

Bring ingredients to a boil and reduce heat to low or medium low, it still needs to be boiling. Cook for 8-9 minutes, stirring constantly.

When it’s done it should be golden-brown color. Remove from heat and add vanilla.

We love this on pancake and waffles.  It’s really good on vanilla ice cream and peaches.
