Grandma Little's Shredded Pork

3-6 pound pork roast

Cook the Pork roast in a crock pot with 2 cups of water on low6-8 hours, or until it falls apart. Shred meat, place is a greased 9x13 pan (if you don’t grease your pan you will be sorry when its time to do the dishes).  Pour over sauce. Then broil stirring frequently until its browned to your likeness.  You can serve this by its self or as a sandwich.

Sauce:
½ c margarine or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/3 cup ketchup
1 Tbs.  yellow mustard
½ cup white vinegar
2/3 cup water
4 Tbs. soy sauce
4 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce
1-2 tsp salt
¼ tsp ground pepper

Melt butter in a sauce pan.  Add in the sugar, ketchup and mustard stir well.  Add in the rest of the ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes.

Food for Thought:

We cannot truly love God if we do not love our fellow travelers on this mortal journey. Likewise, we cannot fully love our fellowmen if we do not love God, the Father of us all. The Apostle John tells us, “This commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.”3 We are all spirit children of our Heavenly Father and, as such, are brothers and sisters. As we keep this truth in mind, loving all of God’s children will become easier.-President Monson
